Jermuk is not only famous for its mineral waters but also for its beautiful mountain landscapes. One of the best ways to enjoy this natural beauty is by taking a ride on the Jermuk Ropeway.
Built in 2007, the ropeway has played an important role in developing ski tourism in the region. The total length of the ropeway is about 1,000 meters, and it rises to an impressive height of 2,480 meters above sea level. The ropeway seats 200 passengers, providing a comfortable ride for visitors. The ride takes around 15 minutes and offers unforgettable views of forests, deep gorges, and alpine scenery.
At the top, visitors can enjoy a panoramic observation deck with stunning mountain views. There is also a cozy café nearby where guests can relax, have lunch, or warm up with a cup of tea while admiring the landscape.
During winter, the ropeway becomes especially popular with skiers. There are two ski slopes here. The first is 1,450 meters long, and the second is 1,550 meters. The slopes include sharp turns and descents, making them suitable for experienced skiers, while beginners can also find areas to practice. In summer, the ropeway is quieter, allowing visitors to peacefully enjoy the fresh mountain air and wide-open views.
Surrounded by alpine forests covering about 1,600 hectares, Jermuk offers a special feeling of calm and harmony. A ride on the ropeway is not just about reaching the top — it is about experiencing the beauty and spirit of the Armenian mountains from a new perspective.
